How to choose hotel linens?

1. Pure cotton fabric is mainstream

Currently, most hotels opt for 100% cotton fabrics. 100% Cotton effectively absorbs moisture, provides comfort, is beneficial to human health, and can offer a soft touch to people. Easily creates a sleep-conducive atmosphere.

2. Starting from the count to select fabrics

Regarding hotel linen fabrics, the most popular choice is 60×40 count products.  The price is reasonable and the texture is delicate. offering both comfort and durability for washing and wear, it is the preferred choice for upscale business hotels, boutique theme hotels, and four-star hotels. Meanwhile, 60×80 count fabric is finer and smoother – ideal for those prioritizing quality and representing the optimal selection for five-star hotels.  When selecting bedding dimensions, note that **the length of the flat sheet must exceed the mattress length by 70cm**. For example, a 2-meter bed requires a 270cm-long flat sheet.

3. How to choose towel products

For towel products, we also have selection standard. The following are the selection criteria for towels in star rated hotels.

  • Bath towels: approx. 140x80cm, ~600g weight
  • Hand towels: approx. 75x35cm, ~140g weight
  • Bath mats: min. 75x45cm, ~350g weight
  • Face towels: approx. 30x30cm, ~50g weight
  • Bathrobes: 100% cotton, ~1000g weight

4. The service life of a product is also important

When selecting hotel linens:

  • Avoid blindly pursuing premium fabrics.
  • All linens must be retired after 120 washes, even if visually intact.
  • Towels must be discarded if their weight falls below 95% of the original specification.
  • The service life of top-level fabrics is often lower than the fabrics we mentioned above. While the price is not low, the durability is also poor. When choosing fabrics, it is best to choose the corresponding specifications based on the room price.

5. Choose white linen

In addition, when choosing linens, try to choose white fabrics for easy inspection of stains and bleaching. Bleach powder can damage colorful fabrics, so choosing white is more effortless. In addition, all bed sheets and bedding, regardless of color, will fade over time, which will affect the customer’s appearance. Therefore, using white directly is the best option.
